Solitude – Not Just for Writers

Margaret Buffie is a writer-friend I’ve seen far too little of in recent years. (Or is hers in southeastern Manitoba? I’ve been to hers and she to mine, but too long ago to remember for sure.)

Last month, Margaret posted a link to one of her most popular blog posts. I’ve rarely read anything that resonates so perfectly with how I feel about solitude and explains so well why I booked myself a little writing retreat for two weeks this month. My life is rich. Thank you for finding and sharing Margaret’s beautiful post! I can definitely relate to her – and your – desire for solitude. The best way for me to achieve that is to get up before anyone else, but it’s fairly time-limited and there are no guarantees that no one else will also get up early.

Glad you enjoyed Margaret’s post too, Janet. I like that early-morning alone time too.
