It’s easy to love the colours of a Caribbean sea, captured during my first ever vacation to a warm place last month.
But there’s beauty to be found in the often monochromatic world of a Canadian winter too. On the first day of this winter, I was struck by the bits of ice forming on the branches that overhung a widening of the river near my home and the pattern they made. (My dog was more interested in the sticks.)

This site is a gift for every writer artist- if you were to ask me! Mariam Laundry must have sent you out to share with hungry writer readers. I grew up in Kentucky and found sitting in a tree reading was my favorite pastime. Add 70 years to being 10 and here I sit typing to you. Many careers and 51 years later I have a legacy of three children grown and three grandchildren adopted and raised and just now my husband have an empty nest. There are 27 picture book eggs in my nest wanting to peck out. Today the music and book “The man with the Violin” has captured me and carried me to first share forwarding this site with everyone that I care about and then to order by own copy from Barnes and Noble. Then I went to the Redondo Beach, CA. Library to find your other books. The librarian helped me join an app. I read Red is Best, first. I’m ordering the how to write a book but don’;t have pay pal so will forward to my granddaughter to help me.. Visually I love all the typing styles and different pictures ad type fonts. Its everything. Love your illustrators. It’s solved my problem, I wrote the books and will let publishers hire the artists even though I can draw and paint.Im living the art rather than being perfect at it. I sure love you black and greys house though. I’m grateful to have found you today an really totally inspired. I simply had to tell you and say Thank you for doing all this and sharing it too. I’m southernnani on TikTok famously burning nearly everything I make.
