A Few of My Favourite Things

No, this post has nothing to do with “The Sound of Music”.

Before anyone gets offended because they’re not in this photo, let me point out that I’ve clearly stated these are a few of my favourite things, and yes, I do know that people and animals shouldn’t be referred to as things anyway.

A few of Kathy Stinson’s favourite things

I was pleased to capture in this snapshot, however…

  • my favourite tulip combination of the season. (They’re finished now but I’m happy to see the peonies are coming up beautifully around them.)
  • my favourite sister. (I have only one, but it’s hard to imagine liking another one better if I had seven.)
  • my favourite dog. (Mine, the doodle posing cooperatively behind the tulips. Janet’s brown dog is pretty nice too.)
  • and my favourite colour of sky.

Now if this blog post doesn’t get you singing about raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens or about blue skies smiling at me, I don’t know what will. Don’t you think tulips are like big smiles in the garden?

You're my favourite sister too – didn't that work out nicely?

    It sure did. 🙂
